The couple booked a part-packing service for their smaller one-bedroom move. Several fragile belongings needed careful protection, and on moving day they discovered that the original box for their television was unavailable.
We individually bubble-wrapped the fragile items and used the padded television cover carried in our van to protect the TV. Two members of the ShiftMate team completed the packing and move safely within one day.

The things people ask before handing us the bubble wrap.
As a guide: a 2-bed home is usually half a day for two packers; a 3–4 bed is a full day. We normally pack the day before your move so you’re living out of boxes for hours, not weeks. Our packing services are arranged around the size of your home and the amount you need us to pack.
Mostly no — light soft contents can often travel in place, and wardrobe boxes keep hanging clothes on their hangers. We’ll tell you exactly what to leave alone at the survey.
Yes. Appropriate insurance cover is in place for our packing and removal services. The applicable cover, limits and any exclusions will be explained in your quotation. Please tell us about particularly valuable items before booking.
Absolutely — the kitchen-and-fragiles part pack is our most popular option. You do the books and bedding; we do the china, glass and art.
Box collection may be available by arrangement once you have unpacked. Ask us when booking and we’ll confirm whether collection is available in your area.
The sensible exclusions: hazardous liquids, perishables, and personal documents or valuables you should keep with you. We’ll give you a short keep-with-me list before packing day.
